Last weekend went to Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City and had a blast! What a nice break from the cold, winter weather to go swimming inside in nice 84 degree warmth. Our friends the Casey's came too and Emily loved having her friends around to play with (especially since they all got to ride in the same car together on the way out).
Emily enjoyed the slides (including two of the big tube slides which she could ride with Mommy & Daddy). I think her favorite spot was the lazy river where she could run around and "race" us. It was nice that most of the pools and play areas were shallow enough where she could stand and didn't have to wear a life jacket. Thanks Grammy & Poppy for the gift card and the idea to go there!
On the way home, we stopped in Kansas City for lunch at a restaurant where your food was brought to your table on a small train. That was a big hit with the kids (and adults too). It was a great trip!

Emily & Daddy swimming in the "big" pool. This pool was a little deeper than the rest so Emily could "paddle" as she called it. There were also basketball hoops, big floating lilly pads you could walk across and a floating snake the kids could try to sit on in this pool.

Trying out one of the small slides in the little kids section. There were 3 slides here that were just her size.
Coming out of one of the big tube slides with Daddy. She wasn't too sure about these at first but by the end of the trip thought they were really fun.
