She Walks!

Emily is officially walking. She can cross most of a room when she sets her mind to it. She has to start from holding onto something and crawls after she falls but is getting pretty darn good at it. Running isn't far away...Mommy better get in shape!

We went to the doctor yesterday. She is doing great, weighing in at 22 lbs 9 oz and measuring 29.5" long (75th percentile for both). Of course she HATED her shots!

New Wagon

Emily likes the wagon she got for her birthday!

1st Birthday Party

Emily had a great time at her 1st Birthday Party (well, except for the cake). She was spoiled rotten of course and now has lots of fun, new toys to clutter the house with.

Emily is not a big fan of cake...it is too messy for her. She hates for her hands to be messy (her neat freak father's daughter for sure!)

Emily made sure to crawl around and visit with her guests but didn't let that get in the way of playing with one of her new toys.

She was very excited by all of her new toys and clothes. Here she is checking out her Fisher Price barn and a swim suit cover up for the lake. Her Fisher Price airplane has been inspected and left behind her.

This would be the cake Emily did not enjoy. Mommy and Daddy plan to enjoy it on her actual birthday on Thursday.

Here is the other cake and the cupcakes for the grown ups. Yes, Emily had her own cake!

Mother's Day

Emily and Daddy treated Mommy to a great 1st Mother's Day. We had lots of fun and Mommy got dinner at her favorite pizza place: Dewey's.
