Easter

So, I know it has taken a while for me to put up our Easter pictures but here they are. Emily had a great visit from the Easter Bunny and had lots of fun hunting eggs. We also spent a lot of time Easter weekend with friends (including a birthday party with a bounce house which Emily LOVED) and had great weather so it was a win all around.

I can't really remember what we did this day but whatever it was, it certainly wore both Emily and her Daddy out! They had a nice little snuggle nap to say the least.

Look, the Easter Bunny was here!

The Zoo

Last Monday, I surprised Emily with a trip to the zoo. She was super excited when she found out where we were headed! We are so lucky to have such an awesome zoo in St. Louis that charges nothing for admission. It was a crazy hot day (90 degrees) but we had a great time anyway. Emily is really into it now and wants to see all of the animals and watch what they are doing. The highlight this time was the elephants. There were two babies out and one of them was playing in the water hole and kept splashing around and going completely under water. It was really cool and Emily loved it!

Eating lunch at the zoo before heading out to see the animals. When we got there, I asked Emily where she wanted to go first and she said she thought we should eat lunch first and then see the animals. It was a good plan!
On one of our stops to refill our zoo cup with water, Emily informed me she wanted a super pop. We were both very hot by this time and I have to admit it hit the spot. Another good idea on her part!

Indy Children's Museum

On the way to Poppy's retirement party last weekend, we stopped at the Indianapolis Children's Museum and met up with our good friends the Hoy's. It was lots of fun and Emily had a great time playing with her friends. No one stayed still long enough to get many picutres but here are a few.

It was a fun weekend and Emily liked spending time with all of her grandparents. She was great at Poppy's party even though it went well past her bedtime and she was pretty worn out from keeping Grammy and Auntie Anne entertained all day.

Posing as Transformers with Daddy in the lobby. There was a giant version of Bumble Bee near by which both Emily and Daddy loved.
