Holiday World

On Saturday we went to Holiday World. It was Emily's first time at an amusement park and none of us had been to Holiday World (except Poppy who went as a kid but I don't think it was quite the same then). It is a great place! The park is very kid friendly with lots of rides for little ones, it is super clean and everyone was super friendly. Emily had a blast riding all of the rides. Mommy and Daddy went on some adult rides too. The one roller coaster, "The Voyage", is ranked the number one wooden coaster in the world and it was the most intense ride I have ever been on. Lots of fun!

Riding the kid sized carousel.

Riding a Christmas themed ride with Mommy.

Emily really liked the seahorse ride!

Getting ready to go on Emily's first roller coaster ride. We thought she wouldn't like it but she did!

Emily had to take a little break in the early afternoon. She had already had too much fun!

Giving a "High 5" while on the fish ride. This was one of her favorite rides.

Having fun on the rocket ships!

Posing with Grammy and Poppy.

Fun Friday

Last Friday daddy took the day off and we headed to the zoo. We had promised Emily a family trip to the zoo for going potty on the potty and she has done a great job. After the zoo, we headed off to Santa Claus, IN to meet up with Grammy and Poppy and go to Holiday World on Saturday. It was a fun day for all.

Inside the hotel lobby. Not surprisingly, the hotel had a Christmas theme.

Flower Girl

Emily was a flower girl in a friend's wedding this weekend. She did a great job. She and the other flower girl made it down the aisle and kept the ringbearer going (who was older than them) when he got a little nervous. They were super cute and had lots of fun playing with each other before and during the reception. The reception was at the Lemp Mansion and the kids ran around like wild all through the upstairs before the real party started (they did not see any ghosts by the way). Emily had a blast!

Pretty girl outside the Cathedral Basilica before the wedding started.

This was in the back of church right before she took a little nap during the ceremony. It had been a big morning.

Goofing around with Daddy at the reception.

Asleep on Daddy's lap at the reception. It is hard work being a flower girl and social butterfly!

First Day of Preschool

So, today was the day: Emily's first day of preschool. She was super excited!

Posing in front of the house with her backpack, all ready to go!

In her classroom after putting her backpack and sweatshirt in her basket.

Sitting in opening circle ready for school to start.

Listening intently to what her teacher was saying. Mommy and Daddy left shortly after this and there were no tears shed by any of us! I'm sure she will have lots of stories for us when we pick her up!

UPDATE: We picked Emily up and she had a great time. She filled us in on all the stuff she did and wanted to immediately show us the artwork she had in her backpack. So far she told us that she painted with marbles, she played on the see-saw with another girl, a girl said that no one was allowed in the playhouse, they don't throw rocks on the playground, they had a snack of cheese crackers and water, and the teacher read a book called "Buster's School Day". Seems like a big day to me!
