Fun at the Lake

We've been able to make it to the Lake every weekend since Memorial Day so far.  This hot, dry weather hasn't been great for our yard but boy has it been good lake weather!  Emily loves going to the lake and is always sad when we leave.  It's been lots of fun!

First lake swim of the season.  Emily loves swimming in the lake and is great at swimming around in her life jacket.

Riding in the pontoon with her friends Ainsley and Audrey.

The breakfast boat trip wore someone out!

Having a picnic lunch on the deck with her friend Audrey.

Early Summer Fun

We have been super busy the last couple of weeks (which explains why I'm so far behind on the blog).  We got new countertops, had a birthday party at Planet Fun for one of Emily's school & Little Gym friends (Alana), had another birthday party for Emily amongst other things and of course a couple of trips to the lake.  I think we are finally starting to slow down into more of a summer routine now.  Whew!

On our way to the Lake last weekend, we went to a Springfield Cardinals baseball game.  It was Emily's first baseball game and she had a lot of fun.  She was more interested in everything going on around her and getting a hot pretzel than the actual game but it was still fun.

Eating her pretzel and posing.

Monday was "Show Day" at Little Gym.  This is opening circle where Emily isn't paying the best of attention.

Showing off her bar skills.

Her balance beam routine.

Posing for Daddy.

Wearing Daddy's socks she stole from the laundry basket.

Last Week of School

School has wrapped up for the summer.  Emily was pretty sad that she wouldn't be able to go back to school for a while.  She loves it and has such fun there with all of her friends!

We celebrated Emily's birthday the last Tuesday of school.  Here she is wearing the birthday "crown".

Birthday cupcakes at school.  One of her classmate's (Carson's) mom made them for us.  She nailed the girly sparkle Emily requested and the bows were made out of chewing gum so everything was edible.

Having "Happy Birthday" sung to her, holding the classroom birthday cake all of the kids helped decorate at the beginning of the year.  She then got to "blow out the candles" on the cake.

Posing on the last day of school.  I told her I wanted to take a picture of her on the last day of school and she automatically got into the same pose she used on the first day.  So cute!

Funny face before getting into the car.

Happy 4th Birthday!

For Emily's 4th birthday, we headed off to the zoo.  We had a great day!

Before heading to the zoo, we stopped at our favorite donut shop for a special birthday breakfast.

Brushing the goats in the children's zoo.

Silly faces at lunch.

Riding the zoo carousel (Emily chose a fish to ride on).

A birthday super pop.  Shortly after this picture, the super pop was pretty much on Emily from head to toe.

Posing by the prairie dogs.

4th Birthday Party

Ok, so I am WAY behind in updating the blog so look out for a bunch of new posts.  We had Emily's 4th birthday party in Indy on May 19.  Our friends, the Hoy's, brought over a bounce house which was a HUGE hit with the kids.  Emily had a great time and was very spoiled!

Emily in the bounce house with Kiefer and Dominyk.  She was sooo excited when she saw the bounce house (it was a surprise for her).

The goodies.

Emily with her buddy Audrey.  Audrey moved to Indy from St. Louis a couple of weeks before the party so we were all happy to see her.

Emily had lots of help opening her presents which was OK since she had a lot of presents to open!

Bouncing with her friends.  Seriously, the kids could have stayed in there all day.
