Thanksgiving in Florida

I know I'm way behind in updating the blog but we have been very busy and my computer is dying again so better late than never.  We went to Florida over Thanksgiving and had a blast!  The weather was great and everyone stayed healthy this year so we were able to pack in lots of fun things.  Emily loved the beach (including the sand which she hated the first time we took her to Florida), swimming in the warm pools and hunting for shells (especially on the walking paths of Pelican Cove).

Looking out at the waterway while on a seashell hunt at Pelican Cove.

Posing by the pool with a pretty flower she picked on the way.

We went to Venice beach to hunt shark's teeth.  Emily spent most of her time flinging herself in the sand.  She had sand everywhere!  Her first trip to the beach when she was 18 months old, she wouldn't even touch the sand...she has come a long way!

Posing in a cool tree at Pelican Cove.

Annual picture by the Pelican Cove signs.  There are pictures of her daddy in the same place at the same age. :)

At Siesta Key beach, half buried in the sand.

Doing a little fishing with Daddy.  This was the biggest catch.  I don't think they liked our bait or the pelicans had eaten all the fish.

Hanging out before dinner.

Swimming with Daddy.

Swimming all by herself with no floaties!  Emily decided to give it a try one day and by the next she refused to put the water wings back on and was swimming all over the pool.  She really did a great job.  We're so proud of her!
