Almost Spring?

Boy the weather has been nice around here this winter! Emily hasn't had a chance to try out her sled or snow boots which is a little sad but we will get over it. We have already made multiple trips to the playground which is pretty good considering it is only March 7!

Swimming lessons have wrapped up for now (we start back at the end of the month) but we still have lots of fun stuff going on. We've gone to a couple of puppet shows at the Faust Park Carousel which are lots of fun. Emily is still having a great time at school and I get to be special helper in her classroom tomorrow (Yay!). Yesterday was Dr. Seuss day celebrating his birthday and she made a cut "Cat in the Hat" hat. Along with the Dr. Seuss theme, I think we are going to see "The Lorax" this weekend. Emily loves going to the movies, mostly for the popcorn I think!

Here are some pics of her latest antics...

Headed out to Target and she decided she needed my sunglasses to complete her outfit.
Getting ready for swim lessons.
Jumping in the pool with her teacher. She wasn't too keen about going under when she first started lessons but was warming up to it by the end of the session. Hopefully another session will get her even more comfortable so she will be a super swimmer during lake season.
Swimming using a noodle all by herself. At the beginning of the session, the teachers would pull them around the pool and by the end Emily was kicking her way around by herself. We will have lots of good swimming skills to work on in the pool this summer.
Sassy pirate.
In full princess gear (including freshly painted toes).
