Cars, Ferries, Tractors and Trains

We had a big weekend here. Saturday we took the ferries into Illinois to visit an orchard and pick apples. On Sunday we went to a pumpkin patch and to the Wabash, Frisco & Pacific A-Gauge railroad to ride the train. It was lots of fun and Emily was thrilled by all of the different vehicles she got to ride on!

This is on the second ferry of our journey to the orchard: the Brussels Ferry. I call this Emily's "Lewis & Clark Pose" which is pretty fitting if you consider where we were. She wasn't too sure about the first ferry but once we got on the second she demanded to get out of the car and look around.

Excited to be on the tractor that took us out to pick apples.

On our third ferry (the Grafton Ferry) of the day on the way home from the orchard. Shortly after we got off the ferry, she fell asleep. It was like she waited for the ferry ride and that was all she had left in her. It was a big day!

At the pumpkin patch. She actually got the little pumpkin she is holding at the orchard and brought it to the pumpkin patch to see all of the other pumpkins.

Riding the train. She really liked the fact that the train blew a whistle and that there was conductor to punch her ticket and say "All Aboard" just like on Dinosaur Train.
