Big Week

Emily had a big week last week. Grammy came to visit for a few days so she was super busy keeping her entertained. Then we had a long weekend at the lake where she entertained BeBe and swam like a fish. She has suddenly become pretty independent in the pool and likes to swim around with just her water wings. She will now swim from one of us to the other all by herself. She has also been talking up a storm. What a big girl!

I downloaded an Elmo book for my iPod and Emily loves it. Here she is "reading" it again.

She crawled up on the coffee table again. Here she was telling me all about it and counting the coasters.

Toys

I found Emily a tricycle on Craig's list last week. She is obsessed with "cycles" so she seems pretty excited to have one of her own! She is getting better at riding it and is slowly going longer distances forward and backward. She is pretty cute on it!

Check Up

Emily had her 2 year check up today and hated every minute of it. She weighed in at 27.5 lbs (56th percentile) and we couldn't get an accurate height measurement so the doctor told me to try at home tonight and they would give us the percentile if we called in. She had to get two shots but now she is done until she's five except for flu shots. She was even more unhappy with the shots and has told me over and over again that she is sad and they hurt. She is doing great though and the doctor said usually by three they are better about check ups. Let's hope so!

We babysat our friend's daughter Audrey who is 6 months old so her Mommy could go to dinner for her birthday. Anyway, we got Emily's Bumbo seat out for Audrey and Emily loved it.

Little Gym Show Day

Today was the last day of the semester at Little Gym. They do an awards program to reward the kids for all of their hard work during the semester. Daddy went with us and took pictures and watch the awards presentation. Emily took this opportunity to do a forward roll by herself for the first time. What a big girl!

Don't worry, we are signed up for the summer semester so Emily will be back at gym next week playing with her friends!

Officially 2

Well, Emily is officially 2. She had her big birthday party over the weekend at BeBe and BoBo's house. It was lots of fun (though a little overwhelming at times for the birthday girl) and she was spoiled rotten. Some of her friends in the neighborhood are coming over tomorrow for another birthday bash. Then it is off to the lake to officially kick off the season.

This is Emily's new friend Beau. He lives next door to BeBe and BoBo and was super sweet to Emily.

This is the Monday after party weekend. Emily just passed out on the couch after lunch. Being a party girl just wore her out!

Almost 2

I can't believe it but Emily turns 2 on Friday. We are headed to Indy for her birthday party on Saturday. I'm sure she will have lots of fun and be spoiled rotten!

Swingset

Emily got a swingset for her birthday. It arrived Tuesday and Daddy went right to work getting it put together. She seems to REALLY like it! Some of our neighbor's kids came over tonight and she was showing them the swings, slide and rings. It was very cute!
